Degrees of Lucky accepted to the WLES Film Festival

MFA candidate Cindy Hsieh’s second year practicum film, Degrees of Lucky will screen in the We Like ‘Em Short Film Festival in Baker City, OR.

The festival is August 17 & 18, 2012 at the historic Eltrym Theater in Baker City, Oregon.

London 2012 Summer Olympics

The UNCG Media Studies department alum, Max Negin (MFA ’08) and MFA Candidate, Cindy Hsieh (MFA ’13) will both be working at the London 2012 Olympics.

This will be Max Negin’s third Olympics (Beijing ’08, Vancouver ’10). Max and his studio production team won a national Sports Emmy at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Negin supervises incoming feeds, assists in acquiring footage from all the events and monitors and troubleshoots delivery of all content produced, and some editing in the International Broadcast Center.

This will be Cindy Hsieh’s second Olympics (Vancouver ’10). She will be working as a researcher for NBC Olympics covering a variety of sports.
